Doll E. Daze

Spending my summer in Vaasa Finland, I started collecting dolls in 2006 when a friend gave me a gift of Lizzie and her trunk. I didn't have a lot of dolls growing up because my parents did not allow us to play with white dolls. AS the dolls I had access to wre not acceptable to me it all changed in the 2000's. I now have lots of dolls that I enjoy and like to play with and collect. My pride and joy at the moment is my Iplehouse Cocori first edition. I plan on creating playthings that I wish I had as a child growing up for future generations to have. My doll sinspire me to grow as a person and learn who I am.

About twenty years ago, I began my own collection of black - African American - dolls from those given to me as an adult.  I had told friends at a significant birthday marker, that I had never had one, having been a child when parents could not find black dolls.  I only have a few, but they are precious to me!

I am an ordained minister and a theological educator teaching in Cambridge.
